Top of the EAR line, rarely available. Considered by many to be one of the finest preamp/phono stages available. Extremely dynamic, vivid sound, that combines resolution, dynamics, and musicality. This is truly a reference piece at a great price for the build quality and sound it provides. The included phono stage is also world class. I have used this unit with a few different turntables and amplifiers and it always sounds great.
The EAR 912 is extremely versatile: it can accept BOTH cartridge types, MM and MC, on both inputs. This means that any combination of either 2 MC cartridges, 2 MM cartridges or 1 MC and 1 MM can be used. All switching is from the front panel and all type, impedance and attenuations settings apply to whichever phono input, 1 or 2, is selected. It has balanced XLR & RCA inputs, remote controlled volume.
Includes: owner’s manual, 2 remote controls (see pictures), original EAR 912 box. I am also including wonderful tubes in the 912, including Mullard 6922/7308 goldpin in the phono and preamp sections. I also have a variety of other tubes available (Mazda 7308, other Mullards, Ediswan Brimar).
