Sutherland Engineering PhD with Upgraded board and original Chassis and Box

I'm selling this nearly new
Sutherland PhD phono preamp complete with chassis & new upgraded board
replacement.  This is a board designed by Ron Sutherland and it sounds
fantastic. It is no longer battery powered rather a heavily isolated DC
supply.  We received and unit back because of battery leakage and are able
to offer this great deal to the right buyer. 
The unit and chassis are no longer made so they are hard to come
by. 

Same great sound and
circuit as the original PhD but with no battery replacement or long term chance
of leakage.  Loading and Gain are adjusted by changing out plug-in
resistors rather than the plug-in boards.  This provides you with nearly
unlimited options.  There is one very small mark on the front left of the
faceplate.  12awg steel and weighs about 20 lbs. There are a few screw marks
on the bottom but can’t be seen when the unit is together.  Updated with new rubber feet.

Original box, packaging and
instructions included. I even have the original 2007 invoice from Acoustic
Sounds to a dealer. I will install and include whatever gain and loading
resistors you prefer.

The original was $3,000
over 10 years ago and the sound is very sought after.  Comes with 48v
