Polk Audio RT55, RTi4, CS4001,PSW450 UPGRADED SILK TWEETS & CROSSOVERS

Polk Audio 5.1 Surround Sound Sytem featuring RT55 L/R mains, CS4001 center,  RT4i rear surrounds and PSW450 powered subwoofer. I am an audiophile hobbyist and upgraded these substantially by installing new silk dome tweeters from Polk's current senior speaker line, added tweeter diffraction pads, installed upgraded Solens polypropylene capacitors in all the crossovers and upgraded the damping material to Accoustuff synthetic damping material.  You can see the size difference in the expensive Solens polypropylene capacitors on the crossover board vs the cheap, poor quality little capacitors Polk supplied shown in the image below the rebuilt crossover board.  The sound improvement is substantial over the original units that had Polk's harsh-sounding "Trilaminate" tweeters.  Cosmetic condition is excellent with the exception of some vinyl veneer peeling at rear base of the mains as shown.   The rear surrounds have been attached via screws on their bottoms to attach to the Target wall mounts which are included with the system.   They sound exceptional and offered for sale owing to a downsizing necessitating I dispose of excess systems in anticipation of a move.   These are heavy, so local pickup only.   I am located near downtown Stamford, CT: 45 minutes from Manhattan via I-95 or the Merritt Parkway.  PayPal only or cash upon pickup.  Thanks for looking and don't miss this great 5.1 Polk surround sound system.
