Reluctantly, I am selling my Linn floor speakers. I have these in my office system right now, but I don't get a chance to listen to them enough. I am also moving into a much smaller office and will not have room for these. Unfortunately, my wife says we don't have room for them at home either. They really sound spectacular. Note that they have some minor cosmetic issues that I have attempted to show in the photos. The person I bought them from dropped something on them, so they have some imperfections on the top. Trust me -- it has absolutely no effect on the sounds, and the speakers still look stunning. (I really, really want to keep them). I honestly don't think you can find a better sounding speaker for the price. I do not have the original boxes. Local pickup in Southern California strongly preferred. I might even deliver them for you depending on where you are.
A floor-standing loudspeaker which delivers exceptional musical performances with deep, controlled bass, Majik 140 will improve the sound of any music system. Majik 140 features Linn's 2K driver array - an evolution of the array technology found in Linn's highest performing loudspeakers - to guarantee exceptionally clean and pure high frequency reproduction. Higher levels of performance can be easily achieved with a range of upgrade options, from simple bi-wiring through to a fully Aktiv configuration using eight channels of amplification.
From Stereophile Magazine (https://www.stereophile.com/content/linn-majik-140-loudspeaker):
"In the May 2009 issue, I gushed over the performance of Linn Products' remarkable little bookshelf speaker, the Majik 109 ($1590/pair). In particular, I was struck by how I'd never heard any speaker at any price whose high frequencies sounded more natural, detailed, or pure than the 109's. Then, wondering what a pricier Linn speaker might sound like in my system, I asked Linn which was their most expensive model that also incorporates the 2K tweeter-supertweeter array used in the Majik 109. The answer: the floorstanding Majik 140 ($2995/pair). . . . I was thrilled with my experience of the Linn Majik 140. It was everything I'd hoped it would be: a speaker that retains all the strengths of Linn's remarkable Majik 109 bookshelf model, but with deeper bass extension, superior dynamic range capability, and a greater sense of ease. My conclusions are summed up in two lines lifted from my listening notes: "No compromises in a $2995/pair speaker." "It doesn't get much better than this for the money."
