Rotel RC-995: Cosmetically perfect, deep/wide soundstage w/ working remote. Please read.

Selling only because we've opted for more convenience (integrated DAC/preamp). 

Sold with all original packaging and accessories (sans outer box).  Unit will be double-boxed for safe transport. 

I am the second owner of this unit, which has worked well for years.  Operated in a child-free, smoke-free environment.  There's not a scratch on this preamp.  I've successfully tested all but XLR & phono connections (do not have necessary equipment).  Remote has been fully tested as well (works great). 

Listed at 8/10 for age and volume control.  The volume has shown a scratchy sound (indicative possibly of pot. contacts).  This was only experienced when adjusting volume between 10 and 11 o-clock.  Moreover, I opened the unit to inspect and look for potential contact-cleaning potential (none apparent, so not attempted).  Upon closing the unit and re-testing, the scratch is gone.  I believe the issue may be with the wiring ribbon that connects the volume pot with the main board. 

This was Rotel's top-end preamp long ago and for good reason.  It presents a deep, wide soundstage with no coloration.
