For your consideration here is an exceptional pair of the Von Schweikert Unifield III series  2 speakers. These speakers are about three years old and they have only perhaps 100 hours use. I am the original order and had these built to order. Grading them 9 out of ten is conservative.

I bought these for my main system to replace the B&W 801ii that I bought new in 1990.  These speakers are very excellent and very well reviewed, but it turns out my system didn't work too well with them.

I spent the last 30 years evolving my system around the B&W speakers and part of that was trying out probably 20 different power amps from McIntosh to Dynaco to Scott to Fisher to Marantz to Sound Craftsman to Harman Kardon to Heath to KB-85.... Along the way I picked up an undergrad in Electrical Engineering, so a good deal of refurb/redesign/refit went into those projects.

My current amplifier ensemble consists of two Eico HF-50 and two HF-60 monoblocks. Between the four pieces, I have about $6000 worth of parts and upgrades to them including Deulund and Jupiter Copper and Black Gate power and Mundorf SGO caps, Shinkoh resistors, Audio Note Vx wire, not to mention all primo NOS tubes like 6SN7W, xf1 and xf4 outputs, Z729, and f31 rectifiers. These Eicos are just too good to mess with now and don't have the Watts needed for the Unifields. Oh yeah, likewise I have about 6 grand into the B&Ws with Northcreek crossovers, all Mundorf Sumpreme caps and Lexus internal wiring.

Please excuse the digression, but the short of it is that I have way too much design time and parts invested into 'tuning' these amps to work for me, and they simply do not have the horsepower to light up the Unifield speakers.

I thought of buying a used Bryston 7 or something just to 'start' playing around, but I quickly remembered how much effort and $$$ went into optimizing the set I already have.

These speakers appear to be flawless in appearance and function, and have all the original cartons and packing.

My cost for shipping from California to Iowa was less than $400. This is just a for instance number, but we will arrange shipment to your satisfaction and cost.
