I am the original owner of these fabulous speakers (serial numbers 20140 and 20141), and am heartbroken that I must let them go due to life changes. Reviews by Stereophile, Absolute Sound, Soundstage, and Positive Feedback all concur that these are on the short list for finest speaker in the world at any price, and I completely agree. Condition: There are a few scratches on the black acrylic bases from vacuuming around the speakers, but someone knowledgable about polishing acrylic could probably remove almost all of them. Everything above the black bases is in like-new, pristine condition, including the grilles. Mechanically, electronically and sonically they are in perfect condition. My home is smoke-free and pet-free.
I have the original factory boxes and inner packing material with which to ship them. The box for each speaker is 18" wide, 33" deep, and 58" tall. Boxed, each speaker weighs 180 lbs. I very strongly prefer to sell to someone who will pick them up personally.
Methods of Payment: Personal check, cashier's check, wire transfer, or PayPal (plus 2.9% = $254). The payment must clear the bank and become available funds before I will release the speakers to the buyer.
Shipping: I have personally spoken with both FedEx and UPS about shipping them. Neither carrier will accept them for regular ground service because of both size and weight (for both carriers, max weight is 150 lbs per box). They can only be shipped by FedEx LTL Freight service or UPS LTL Freight service (LTL means less-than-full-truck-load). The freight class for these speakers is freight class 100. For residential service with lift gate and insurance of $4,000 per box, Fedex Freight will charge a total of $2,700 and UPS Freight will charge a total of $3,008 to ship the two speakers (yes, you read those numbers correctly)! Therefore, I will ONLY ship on the following non-negotiable terms:

1. Buyer arranges for the transportation carrier of their choice and prepays the shipping charges.
2. Buyer arranges for and prepays whatever insurance coverage buyer desires. (Be advised - the standard insurance coverage for motor freight carriers is ten cents per pound.)
3. Pickup from my house must include residential lift gate service (neither I nor the carrier's guy can lift a 180 lb box onto a tractor trailer bed without damaging the speakers in the process).
4. Title to the speakers, together with ALL RISK OF DAMAGE OR LOSS FROM ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, transfers to buyer at the moment the carrier takes charge of them for loading at my house. After that, whatever happens to the speakers is entirely between buyer and the freight carrier they selected.
