General Electric 6072A

The original, highly regarded, and now rare vacuum tube, the General Electric black plate 6072A.  This is a beautiful, unused Joint Army Navy (JAN) military stock tube in the original military box.  These passed mil spec tests and are built like a tank! This tube is a superior version of the 12AY7, and you will hear the difference at once.  This tube is the "green label" military version which has become scarce and is in high demand.  Perfect for microphone or guitar amp use where these tubes are specified, MUCH better than current production tubes!!  Makes a big improvement when replacing the V1 tube in a guitar amp.  Try them as a 12AU7 or 12AT7 replacement in a phono preamp!   Tests as unused with close Gm on triodes on both a Hickok TV-7 and a Hickok USM118B, both military testers.  We have a number of these so if you need matched pairs, just ask!  Priced here per single tube.  Satisfaction guaranteed.  IL residents pay 10% tax, outside of IL Audiogon will tax the sale only if your state has internet sales tax.  International buyers will be subject to import duty.
