The venerable and benchmark-setting Reference 3 preamplifier by Audio Research. If you are looking, you likely already know about this eye- (or ear) opening preamplifier. If you don't know, there are plenty and many rave reviews on this available online. This has some minor flea bites (top) and light scratches (sides); please see the pictures. Otherwise, it's in outstanding condition. Shows only light signs of use, and sounds like perfection. Dead quiet! Beautiful! I'm only selling to downsize to an SS integrated. Includes new ARC-specified (top-level) 6H30 (x5) tubes from Upscale Audio and a new power tube, a 6550we from Audio Research. Less than 100 hours on all the tubes! Includes the original remote control and power cable, and box and packing. I also have a wonder Sain power cable that I've used on this. If you prefer that cable, let me know and we may be able to work a deal. Otherwise, it's going to be listed separately (it's a $2500+ cable originally.) Please let me know if you have any questions.
