Audio Experience Symphonies Plus R

Up for your consideration is an excellent Audio Experience (YS Audio) Symphonies -R tubed preamp. This unit is only a few month old and is not even close to being broken in yet. I purchased this while another preamp of mine was being repaired and now it is time for it to go as I have way too much "stuff" audio. I really am not thrilled with the idea of selling this as this is a very good preamp for the price, and can compete with many American preamps at 2-3 times the cost. This is a tube rectified preamp that uses one 6X4 tube and three 12AX7 tubes. I junked the Chinese tubes and installed one NOS RCA 6X4 tube and have one NOS Telefunken 12AX7 tube in the important middle position, and two Gold Lion re-issue 12AX7 tubes in the left and right channel sockets. The tube upgrade alone is over $130. I also installed a HiFi Tuning Fuse. I am a great believer in these fuses and the one in this preamp certainly helps the unit be even better than it is already!


The remote controls volume and input selection, plus mutes the preamp. This unit has the SoniCap upgrade that is now standard on all YS Audio preamps unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer. Also in the photo the volume knob has a rather crude black line on the volume control that I used for a reference mark when the unit was used. I needed this as my eyes are not so sharp anymore. This will be all cleaned up when it arrives at your home. Thanks!

Shipping is to the lower 48 states. Shipping is on the buyer and I ship via FedEx with a signature due upon delivery. I have suffered one too many times from buyers claiming the item has not arrived etc. so I will not endure that again. I apologize for doing so in advance but I am doing this for both of our sake. I have the original box and manual, though there is nothing secret or complex about using this preamp. As mentioned, this unit is only a few months old.
