These cables were purchased as demos from an audio store in
California, LA I think. These cables replaced my Cardas Golden Cross
speaker cables ($3600 when new), which were fabulous. The upgrade,
however, was remarkable. I was feeding a pair of Thiel 3.6 speakers.
With these cables, I no longer needed my SS1 subwoofer; so I sold it. Highs
shimmered, midrange was even more fleshed out. I heard sounds in
well-worn recordings I hadn't heard before. Some sounds I was familiar
with suddenly became tied to instruments. I was stunned to realize how
much music had been lost between my amp and my speakers. For context, my
system comprised an ARC Ref 3 pre, ARC PH8 phonostage, Stradivari
cartridge on a Clearaudio table, Classe CT 2300 amp, Thiel 3.6. Cardas
clear interconnects.
These are the last cables you will ever need. End of the road, period.
These
cables have been inspected, cleaned and refreshed by Cardas in Oregon,
and are still in the packaging they were returned in.
Reason for sale is that I am downsizing. Boo hoo.
