I just purchased a rare First Watt Sit-3 power amplifier a week before I moved from Michigan to Boston. It was one of the last SIT-3 amps available and is now totally sold out with no more to be made in the future.

I finally have a home and am settled in Boston, but no longer have space to set up my reference audio system (tiny expensive space) and am now selling components. The first to go is a brand new SIT-3 power amp that I purchased just before making the move. I carefully loaded the amp into my car and drove to Boston with it in pristine condition. Prior to the move, I didn’t open the amp box and instead just took it with me.

I just opened the amp and connected it for about an hour. It works beautifully as I suspected it would. What an incredible sound quality and I now see why many consider this to be one of the ultimate sound quality power amps ever built. I hate to see this go but I won’t be able to use it where I now live. Space is at a premium and very very expensive.

If you know about Nelson Pass, you probably realize that he is one of the finest amp designers alive on the planet today. Even though this amp is a solid state device, it does have a triode tube style sound quality that is absolutely beautiful. It’s not yet broken in and is in like new condition (other than my 1 hour test to make sure it’s in perfect condition). It’s now ready and waiting for the next owner to break it in and fully enjoy it.

The SIT-3 power amplifier is now discontinued and there aren’t any new ones left. This is one of the very last (and the reason I purchased it) and a real find for a discerning audiophile. The original purchase price for this amp was $4,000. I’m willing to sell it for $3,500 and will pay the Audiogon listing fee and the PayPal purchase fee. Do some checking regarding the specs and reviews for this like new SIT-3 power amp. You’ll find that it is a highly sought after collectible reference amp and with the right speakers. You’ll be blown away by the sound quality - it definitely is “off the charts” good.
