Klipsch Tangent 400 [Template]

The hard-to-find Klipsch Tangent 400 is a three-way speaker made in the USA that has the identical drivers as the Heresy II (K24, K53, K76) only with a bigger cabinet (35.3H x 15W x 14.2D) which provides more bass and remedies what some see as a weakness in the Heresy II.  Completely functional and currently used as part of a home theater system.  This speaker was only made for a couple of years (1991-1993).  They are in pristine, original condition especially for a speaker last constructed in 1993.  The cabinets are a simple, black finish (not the higher-end Klipsch wood veneers).  But they have no obvious scratches or dings; the grille fabric is intact and tight; and the drivers (both woofers shown in photos) have no dings, tears or other signs of wear.  The only noticeable signs of age are a slight warp in one grille (see photo) and a tiny wear mark at a couple of the corners of the grille (see photo).  Absolutely nothing has been done to modify or change these speakers from their original, factory condition.  They function perfectly.  Use them as-is or there are lots of suggestions and discussions on the Klipsch forums comparing them to the Heresy II, possible crossover upgrades (available from Crites), etc. Included are the original boxes with foam inserts for both speakers.  The Klipsch website still provides a complete decription of this speaker. However, due to the weight of each speaker (45+ lbs) this must be a local pickup only.  Cash payment will be collected at the time of pick-up.  Local delivery may be possible in the Denver-Boulder area.
