"Five Stars" - What Hi-fi? Magazine
"Enjoy a Big, Powerful, Punchy Sound"
The Rega Fono MM MK2 is a high quality moving magnet phono preamplifier that will bring new life to your stacks of vinyl. On the outside, Fono benefits from an extruded aluminum case that exudes styling smarts and has a compact footprint. The new style case aesthetically matches the Rega Brio-R, Apollo-R, and the Rega DAC. On the inside, Fono boasts discrete-component engineering and RIAA accuracy of +/-0.2dB 100 Hz to 100 kHz.
"A Wide Open Soundstage"
The Fono MM MK2 received a top rating of "Five Stars" from England's What Hi-fi? magazine. "Get connected and you can sit back and enjoy a big, powerful, punchy sound. A wide-open soundstage gets the best from sparse, voice-driven recordings, while that bottom end power, coupled with great dynamics, ensure dance tracks have presence and rhythm."
Fono will amplify the signal from an MM cartridge to the appropriate level for a typical 200mV line level input. The Fono couldn't be easier to set-up. It simply connects to the line input on the amplifier, and the tonearm leads and ground (if used) to the input sockets and ground terminal of the Fono back panel.
