Sansui 9090db

Up for sale is a very nice Sansui 9090DB AM/FM Stereo Receiver.  I've had this Sansui for about a year and have really enjoyed it.  This is one of the later DBs so it has the riveted dolby board for trouble free operation.  Not that you will ever use the dolby function, but at least it won't be a problem.  This is one of the cleanest vintage receivers I have seen; really, really nice cosmetic condition with all the original stickers on the case and very few defects at all. This was Sansui's top of the line receiver in the mid 70s before the G series and had an MSRP of $900. I completely disassembled the receiver to clean up all those buttons, switches and pots and it is in near mint condition.  While I had it disassembled I went ahead and recapped a few of the boards which can cause the most problems in a vintage receiver; F-2624 (Driver), F-2657 (Protection), and F-2656 (Power Supply).  It was as clean inside as it was outside and I'm guessing its had relatively little use in its life.  The 9090DB has 125 wpc, a frequency response of 10hz to 30khz, and a THD of .1% if you worry about those things.  All I know it that this beast will drive any speaker you throw at it with Sansui's trademark detailed and smooth sound. Local pickup would be great for this receiver but I will ship as well.  I will carefully double box this vintage piece to make sure it gets to you in perfect condition.
