In perfect working order and a great addition to a digital source chain. The rating is for cosmetic condition and is conservative.
The digital lens will greatly improve any coax/bnc digital output, cd transport output, or optical, like you might get from a home theater receiver, older Apple TV, MacBook, Airport Express, etc. This was a significant improvement between my McCormack SST-1 CD transport and my McCormack DAC-1 with Ultra upgrade. I moved to a high end digital player with usb output and am using a Berkeley Alpha USB now (used price over twice the cost of the Digital Lens). Check reviews if you are wondering how well this works.
This is not a DAC and not really a transport, but sits just upstream from the DAC, providing cleaned up digital output in coax, AES/EBU, or "glass". Accepts digital input via coax, BNC, AES/EBU, Toslink optical, and "glass".
Can also be used to switch between inputs using the remote and control volume on digital sources.
Serial number is 112440 which means it is running the latest firmware. Anything after 111209 has the latest version.
There is a minor scratch on top which you can see in one of the pictures.
The remote is the metal version, not plastic.
Has full manual (it looks photocopied, but I believe it is what it originally came with.
Box and packing foam is not original but has been perfectly constructed to provide excellent protection.
