Bang & Olufsen Beogram 8000.
Condition is Used. One/Original owner. Good Condition!
Recently Acquired Family Heirloom. One/Original Owner. Kept in great condition. Superficial wear and tear.
Original owners were my In-laws.They owned several shops in NY in the 60-80s. It was purchased by my Father in Law brand new, when it was released in NYC at a popular audio electronics store. They purchased an entire system for 15k in the 76-77 (this piece included). Receipts are here in storage. I will have to search, but will supply when found. The system was serviced regularly as needed. It was well maintained. The movers trashed the boxing and original wires in the 90s.
The B&O 8000 is styled in brushed aluminum and black, with rosewood trim and a hinged clear-plastic cover over the turntable portion. Other finishes (oak, teak, and white lacquer) are available on special order. The unit is about 19-1/4 inches wide, 14-3/4 inches deep, and only 3-1/2 inches high. The 8000 weighs just under 20 pounds.
