Offered for sale is my Audio Research 300.2 Stereo Amplifier (SN # 86002902) in excellent condition both cosmetically and sonically. This 300.2 is a great sounding amp with typical quality build by Audio Research. I've owned this fine amp for 10 years and it has always performed flawlessly. The only reason why I am selling it is because all of my other components are silver, and I recently purchased a silver 300.2.
Per Audio Research “the 300.2 sounds unlike any other amplifier because it marries the best musically-involving qualities of great tube designs with the authority and control of the best solid state designs, easily handling the toughest loads or the most inefficient speakers without strain. And, with its high efficiency, the 300.2 produces little heat, making it perfect for in-cabinet installations.”
This 300.2 has 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 500 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and 600 watts into 4 ohms one channel driven. Retail price was $4,495. At $1,695, this amp represents a lot of high-quality, audiophile power for very little money. Original factory double boxes, owner’s manual, power cord, and other docs and fuses included.
I will pay for the shipping as the box is large and the amp weighs 40 lbs. Please email me should you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

Hi. I have a 100.2 since it came out, and it was driving Maggie 1.6's beautifully. I now have Maggie 3.7's, and it still sounds fine, but I was looking for maybe more oomph. Do you know if the 300.2 uses the same topology as the 100.2? Is it the 100.2's bigger brother? Thanks in advance. Hi Mike,
Thanks for your interest in my 300.2. I'm not much of a tech person, but I use the Audio Research Database all the time, as my pre amps and power amps have always been Audio Research for the past 30 years. The following is a link which gives info on every amp ever made by Audio Research. I hope you will find the answer to your question at this website. [filtered]
Thanks again,
