Transcendent Sound T-16 OTL Mono Amps

SIGHT_38 tubes, beautiful lights! SOUND_beautiful musicality! Transcendent Sound OTL (Output Transformer-Less) mono amps drive the speakers with no intervening transformer. The result is clarity and realism that other kinds of amps cannot produce. The music leaps out of the speakers and floats in the room, eliminating a "box like" sound. Instead, it produces a beautiful sound with detail, 3-D imaging, and very good bass. The mono blocks were built by Morrow Audio, from whom I bought them in 2007. VanSickle Audio in Columbia, MO, did a total upgrade in 2014, which cost over $800. A copy of that invoice will be included, with much of the work mentioned. After the mono-blocks were returned, the preamp tubes were replaced by NOS tubes:

• 2 X TELEFUNKEN ECC 81 (12AT7)
• 2 X MULLARD ECC 82 (12 AU7) Military Label M8136
• 2 X MULLARD CV4004 (12 AX7)

Then the amps tubes were replaced with 32 X RUSSIAN 6C19P (new small NOS power triodes). Included with this sale will also be an additional 32 X RUSSIAN 6C19P (ALL USED: some should be very good).
Also added to the amps were 8 HiFi upgraded fuses. I do not remember the cost, but it was a good add. Here are some very important positives to consider about these amps. They have proven to be long lasting. All the electronics are new and upgraded, the Audyn Caps especially. All the power triodes and preamp tubes are New Old Stock, with a large group of used tubes to supplement for the future. The upgrade to new and better tubes was expensive but worth it, as was the upgrade to 8 HiFi fuses. At the core is the design of the amps that makes everything else worthwhile.
Since the upgrade, probably about 50 hours have been put on the amps. I love the sight and sound of this old amp, but I do not need it or alot of other stuff which I will be selling on Audiogon. The amps are DIY, they have a few small dents and marks, but they still look presentable. The old capacitors, resistors, etc. have been improved and replaced with these units already noted to last many years. Alot of them were made over 20 years ago, but few show up for sale.
