Tyler Acoustics Decade D-2 PRICE REDUCED!!

Tyler Acoustics Decade D2 pair.  ONLY.  NO CENTER on this ad.   New in 2012 – Lightly played in
smoke free environment. Designed for mastering, but incredibly musical speakers
for the price. Magnetic speaker grills. 

D2 New Retail: $6800

Drivers and crossovers where designed by Danny Richie for
Tyler Acoustics for mastering studios. General production models had a less
expensive crossover provided by Tyler Acoustics. These were upgraded to the
original designed upgraded crossovers.

Upgrades in all speakers:

Crossover - Danny Richie Designed Crossovers with Sonicaps,
Erse XQ Conductors and Mills resistors. Speakers also completely re-wired with
solid copper/silicon insulated wire.

Cabinets - Lined with No Rez cabinet damping.

D2 Footers – Soundocity adjustable speaker outriggers and
spikes  

Dimensions -  51 tall x 11.5 wide  x 16 deep.  116 lbs each.

Frequency response. 30-20k

Sensitivity. 88 dB

Nominal Impedence. 8 ohms

Power.  50-250 wpc

The following is a a forum conversation with Danny Richie (the guy
that designed the drivers/crossover) on his forum several years back. The
advertised frequency response was 30Hz to 20kHz.  Here’s his reply on the
measurements. I think you’ll find it’s pretty spot on based on your comments on
the sound of them.

""…Yes, I have all of the measured data on those.
They are actually very smooth. From about 4kHz and down they are about +/-1db.
There are a few little wiggles in the top end but not bad, and easily +/-2.5db
over their whole range. 

Port tuning is at 27Hz. 
They can also be considerable upgraded with
Sonicaps, Mills resisters, Erse XQ inductors, better wire, tube connectors, and
No Rez. 

You are likely just getting a taste of the
true clarity and resolution that they are capable of. So if you like what you
are hearing now...""

These are a fantastic way to get into speakers that play
well above their price point. 

Superbly musical and revealing at the same time.  They tend toward accuracy in representation first so they will not be overly warm or huggily if that is what you are into.  They are not clinical by any means.
