Spendor 7/1

Spendor 7/1/ Floorstanding Loudspeakers. Original Owner. These are later models with the larger port (from the 9/1's) which improved the bass and overall performance. The crossovers have been upgraded with expensive (big) Jensen capacitors and internally re-wired with MIT wiring. This cleaned up the sound, made them faster, and more open. Still has the traditional Spendor sound, and is very easy to listen to. One of the grill pegs has broken from the grills but grill still holds fine to the cabinet. The grill cloth is pulling away from the frames on one side (a common problem). Spendor says to use rubber cement to re-stick, but I didn't have much luck, maybe a better rubber cement? I never used the grills anyway as they sound better off . Original manual, packing materials and boxes. These sold for $2,800 and they have about $500+ in capacitors and upgraded MIT wire in them. Overall in great shape, just a couple of small blemishes, attractive cabinets that they said were too expensive to make so they discontinued them. From a smoke free, pet free home.
