Shun Mook Vintage Wire Cables are all made from N.O.S. vintage western electric cloth insulated wires. As we know, modern plastic and synthetic materials used to insulate copper wire deteriorates the sound quality.

Yes, modern wires are designed to withstand the heat and stress generated in the copper. This makes the power system safer, but sound-wise not good.

Since the electrical demand of high fidelity cable is very mild, we can go back to vintage wires and build various cabling for our needs.

Our WE wire cables use a very critical fixed length. We found out that the length of any cable is most essential. A few microns of change can result in big differences. So each cable is micro tuned by ear-listening.

These particular Shun Mook cables carry 3 additional (non-connected) tuning wires. These conductors wrap around the main conductors and are used for fine tuning a system once installed. They act like a coiled winding and so wrapping or unwrapping one turn or half a turn can adjust the sound.

2 pair available, matched and tuned to 7 ft. lengths. Perfect for mono block amplifiers. Price is per cable. Rated 9/10, though these are truly in as-new condition, they are made from vintage components by hand, and as such are not the most polished looking product. They will be shipped in a suitable high-quality but generic equipment case, as there is no original packaging other than a ziplock bag. ;-)
