I purchased this inverse RIAA filter to help break in a new phono stage. As the phono stage recommended 100 hours of break in, and I wanted time to evaluate it during the 30 day trial period this filter was perfect for breaking it in with a continuous stream from Tidal rather than trying to play records for 100 hours and still have time to evaluate my purchase.
It worked perfectly, and now after 100 hours of use I have no further need for it. You plug in your source (streamer, CD player, etc.) in the inputs, select the volume offset (-40 dB for Moving Magnet input, -60 dB for Moving Coil) and plug the outputs to your phono stage. I'm including everything I received from Hagerman - which was just the filter and the manual (see attached photos).
