After listening to the Rocket 88 As one reviewer wrote: “…music simply flowed through the room, much like a live performance”. That says it all about this amp.

Rated at 20 watts Triode mode, and 40 in Ultra-Linear, with RCA and XLR outputs in back you have several options to indulge. It’s like having two amps in one. I would often switch modes to suit the music I was listening to. I never ran out of steam regardless of how loud I played.

Read the reviews. I purchased this amp sight unseen and was rewarded with bountifully.

In preparation for the sale, I recently had CARY look over the amp. It runs now like new. Here are the CARY tech notes:

11/6/19 - First diagnostics/inspection show that both channels are completely silent. Hooked everything up to speakers and a preamp and no signal was getting through. Left eye tube is out and the other is extremely dim, both can be replaced. Tube fuse was also blown and replaced. -KD 11/7/19 - Upon further inspection, it looks like the input tubes are not wired for a 6922 tube like what is labeled on the amp, but for a 12AX7/12BZ7. Swapped for some 12AX7's and now both channels seems to work just fine.

(FYI, I use the 12BZ7’s. They sound cleaner)

My invoice is attached so you can see what they did. I will include my tubes (less an 400 hours of use) bias meter, and manual.

Why am I selling? Reluctantly forced to downsize, I am going all in with Bel Canto from top to bottom, powering my Celestial 700’s.

Average Audiogon Price (not including tubes): $1465
