Onkyo A-10

This is the Onkyo A-10 integrated amp from 1979.  This model, Onkyo's TOTL at the time, has been described as "straight wire with gain" and has a reputation as overbuilt and reliable.  It was paired with the T-9 tuner.  Supposedly the amp section is almost identical to the one in the TX-8500 receiver.  85 watts into 2 channels @ 8 ohms and dual mono design (including separate power transformers), just like the competing Sansui AU-717, which it closely resembles, except that the Onkyo A-10 has three phono inputs including one for moving coil cartridges.  A little nick on the top edge of the face plate is all that keeps me from rating this 8/10.  Judge for yourself.
