Conrad Johnson Premier 8a XS Triode (EL34 version) with extensive upgrades by Music Technology/Bill T. These do not come on the market frequently. Bill Thalmann was a major player in the design and development at Conrad Johnson during the development of this amp. He knows the design very well and first class judgment in improving this amp in the most cost effective manner. The overall all upgrade was expensive (8K) but the results are quite impressive. This unit was upgraded in 2009.

Power supply:
Ultra quiet rectifier hexfreds for high voltage and low voltage sections.
Wires upgrades to Cardas Grade 2 hookup wire for Pwr supply Wiring, V-Cap Teflon and V-Cap Teflon/Copper in the audio circuit locations.
Replace fixed line cord with Furtech IEC cyro treated outlet.
Line stage:
Siltech Royal Signature wire (Princess) from the input to output jacks.
General:
The amp sound is warm dynamic and musical and offers a high degree of resolution and emotional involvement. The unit comes with extra tubes (5751/6fq7 and EL34.
