The Wilson Audio MAXXII speaker is one of the great full-range speakers available. It is extremely efficient (92 dB) and has an impedance of 4 ohms so that it can be utilized with a modest or large amplifier. The MAXXII was initially available in 2002 as a unit comparable to the then current Wilson Grand Slam (which was extremely hard to calibrate in most installations). This particular pair was initially produced in 1999 as a Wilson MAXX I with Metallic Black finish with black grills, and was then upgraded to the MAXX II in December of 2004. At that time it belonged to Transparent Audio (in Maine) and was utilized as a pair of rear speakers for their huge demo theater. So it was never really worked all that hard. The speaker finish is excellent with only very minor specks of damage to the paint (see the photos), so small that they are really not even visible when you are sitting 15 feet away. All the original packaging and parts are available. The 2 boxes weigh a total of 1,100 lbs. for shipping, and must be shipped via truck. The shipping location is in Utah. These have been replaced with a current pair of Alexandrias.
