Up for sale is an EAR Yoshino 534 power amp designed by Tim de Paravicini. This amp is in excellent condition inside and out. Rarely does an EAR in this condition come up for sale. Item is closer to a 9/10.
Class A Push-Pull Tetrode, 50 wpc. The amp had a checkup in October 2019 by Ben Jacoby, the US service technician for EAR. Upgraded output transformers from the manufacturer were installed. This amp now exceeds factory specs outputting 62 watts (RMS).
Tubes included are:
8 GL KT77 power tubes (new from Upscale Audio)
2 ECC85 (new RFT NOS)
2 12AX7 (EH)
Matched pair of NIB 1940's 12AX7 RCA included at the asking price.
EAR amps are known for a musical, transparent presentation with a terrific sense of realism and this amp lives up to the reputation. It features auto bias, dual gain controls, low negative feedback, single ended/balanced inputs, and may be switched to monoblock operation.
Cosmetically, the amp is beautiful with a mirror-like front panel.
