Pass Labs XA-60.5 Mono Amps. Sublime! Near-Mint.

Pass Labs XA-60.5 Mono amps in near mint condition. Full Class A operation in most systems! They turn to Class AB if the speakers/environment and music is extremely demanding. 60 wpc, 120 in 4 ohms. Larger, high wattage amps are generally less natural sounding. The key is fewer amplifying devices with a very robust power supply/high quality parts. Personally they run my very large Vienna Acoustic "Mahler" speakers with dual 10 inch woofers and dual mid-range drivers (per speaker) with ease. I play large scale orchestral and some classic large scale Rock music without clipping or going to Class AB.. The beautiful meters have never wavered from the straight up position! This means that they maintain the absolutely lovely Class A mode of operation at all times for me. The head Tech at Pass Labs stated that this model is unique to the entire amplifier range in that it performs with more warmth than the other large amps. This while maintaining a strong, natural sense of dynamic range.  In my system, the sound stage is huge, lots of warm tonality and zero listening fatigue. In my 50 plus years of using excellent tubed and solid state amplifiers, this one is in the very top tier. Many consider this to be the "sweet spot" in the less than super expensive high end. This model has been replaced by the XA 60.8, which many consider to be less pleasing both sonically and cosmetically. The face plates are a gorgeous design, difficult to manufacture. They can be used single ended or with XLR cabling. The condition of both amps is outstanding! The photos do not capture the in person appearance. They play with total silence in my system. I am selling them because I am over invested in expensive tubes, so I will stay with my tubed amps. I wish I could afford both of them. The Pass amps are sweeter sounding.
