Pair of Sonus Faber Venere 2.5 speakers.  Serial # 02148130 (per pair).  Good condition.  Stereophile Class B Recommended Loudspeakers 2015.  7" woofer and 7" mid-woofer made of Curv material w/ paper center caps and 1.1" silk-dome tweeter.  Frequency response:  40hz - 25khz; recommended power:  40 - 250w per channel; impedance:  6 ohms; sensitivity:  89 db; height:  43.6 in.; weight:  43 lbs.  Walnut finish - a $500 upgrade.  Thick glass base and top plates.  Configured for bi-wiring.  Original owner.  Smoke-free home.  Purchased from an authorized dealer (Hanson Audio in Dayton, OH).       

Classic Sonus Faber sound - warm, musical and relaxed.  Easy to listen for long periods.  Solid, punchy bass, full midrange and relaxed high end - slightly forgiving of digital sources.  Run with PrimaLuna and Balanced Audio Technology (BAT) integrated amps.  Stevie Ray Vaughn, Diana Krall and Dire Straits all presented with nice musicality and ample detail.  Woven and coated polypropylene Curv material travels quickly while paper dust caps and silk-dome tweeter imbue a natural, authentic sound and timbre.  Nice finish and materials.  Note: just noticed light scuffs (discernable only close up - within about three feet) on bottom portion of one speaker.  Reduced rating and price.
