Von Schweikert Audio VR-7SE

I have a rare opportunity for Von Schweikert lovers out there. These VR7's were purchased 9/2015 used from Bill Parish at GTT Audio and Video via Audiogon. They have had 2 owners now including myself. These are the VR-7SE. I purchased them for 14K plus shipping. The veneer on these had sustained several cracks and I decided to have these shipped directly to Leif Swanson at Von Schweikert Audio. Leif would be happy to verify these facts as well as to the upgrades he installed in them. I had Von Schweikert strip these down to the bare bones and had them painted with Ford Autopaint Chameleon. This color is found on their mustangs. It is a beautiful blue that turns aquamarine, green, purple etc depending on how light reflects off of them. They are just stunning to behold and pictures do not do this point justice but I have one pic that shows blue and purple on different surfaces simultaneously. AS far as the upgrades, speak to Leif 951-682-0706 at Von Schweikert. I spent another 14K between the auto paint and Leif super-tweaking abilities. He upgraded the drivers and a variety of internal components that only he could share with you the details. I only asked him to do every upgrade known to him lol. I love that company and I love these speakers. I have become so busy in my life and I am getting older and we may be retiring and moving on the horizon, I just think it would be best to let someone else enjoy these now. I can only describe the sound that eminates from these as stunning. I won't say more, they are just simply stunning. They are also big. I have all the crates but would prefer local pickup and will discount 5K to anyone that wants to come to New Mexico and crate them themselves. There is a blemish in the right speaker on the side corner that occurred when we were loading them into the house in 2015. It is all the way on the bottom and cant be seen from the front viewing position. I included a pic of this. It is about 1/2 paint chip is all. Hence why we prefer local pickup, my wife and I can't handle the weight of these anymore.
WE spent 28K on this endeavor and I have been advised to sell for 28K by Leif himself due to the extreme upgrades he installed. However I have owned them for 5 years now using maybe 2-3 hours a month these lest 2-3 years and maybe 5-10 hours a month since purchase. Selling is not about money, its just time. I want these speakers to find a loving home and hope by selling at a great price will encourage someone to come get them. If I have to ship these then 18K and if someone comes to get them 13K.
