Linn Radikal DC Motor and Power Supply, supplied in a black Akurate-style chassis for seamless matching to your existing Linn system, delivers the ultimate performance for Sondek LP12 turntables and is supplied with a brushed DC motor replacing the standard LP12 AC motor.  This Radikal unit is the same model included with Klimax LP12 turntables, but in a black Akurate enclosure rather than the Machined box.
Technologies Radikal facilitates a renewed and ground-breaking approach to motor regulation, delivering a dramatic upgrade to LP12’s performance. The system automatically monitors speed on every rotation and calibrates the motor for consistently impeccable timing.
DC Motor Drastic reductions in electromagnetic noise levels are enabled by the brushed metal DC motor, resulting in a vast enhancement of the signal-to-noise ratio and transporting you even closer to the centre of the music.
Use with Urika Radikal can also be used to drive the internal Urika phono stage, where fitted, in LP12 turntables (not included).  Working alone, Radikal will efficiently power and control the motor but when partnered together with Urika, it becomes a doubly extraordinary upgrade.
Excellent Condition I purchased this unit new from a Linn dealer in northern California 5 years ago.  I have been the sole owner, and the Radikal has been very well cared-for in a non-smoking house with no pets. This is complete.  The Radikal power supply, the motor with attached cables, speed sensor and wiring, the switch, and mounting screws are all included.  All original inner and outer Linn packaging is included.  One of the best Linn technicians in the US personally installed this Radikal gear into my Sondek LP-12 setup and also packed it out 5 years later, so the equipment has only been touched by qualified hands.
