Innovative Technology
The X100 digital music player incorporates many innovations originally developed for the higher priced Aurender S10 and W20 models.
The X100 includes a solid-state drive cache for playback which eliminates jitter, latency and electrical/acoustic noise from spinning hard drives, and compact disks.
The high performance USB Audio Class 2.0 digital audio output was developed using the same engineering as the USB outputs on the flagship Aurender W20.
Network Connectivity
For network connectivity, streaming, upgrades and file transfers, the X100 has a Gigabyte Ethernet port along with two USB 2.0 data ports for copying files from USB memories.
Hard Disk Drive for Storage with Solid-State Drive Cache for Playback
An internal hard drive provides up to 12TB of storage on the X100L. the X100L has a 120G solid-state drive to cache music for high performance playback.
If a selected song or album is already cached to the solid-state drive, the hard drive will remain asleep. This minimizes wear and tear on the hard drive.
By caching songs to the solid-state drive for playback, electrical/acoustic noise resulting from spinning disks, moving heads and motors are also completely eliminated.
Dedicated USB Audio Class 2.0 Output with Noise-Free Power Circuitry
The dedicated USB Audio Class 2.0 output is designed to deliver an exceptionally transparent audio signal free of noise and is shielded from outside electronic interference.
