I have my Electron Kinetics Dual Mono Power Amplifier Model 7B for Sale. Please note that it is in need of repair and is not operational at this time, hence the Condition rating of 2/10. Original owner, purchased June, 1985 at Chicago CES from the late John Iverson. Near complete re-build/replacement from 7A to 7B by Mr. Iverson in 1993. Only 22 have ever existed. Replaced the standard five-way binding posts to Cardas Tellurium Copper & Female RCA's were replaced with Vampire (that happen to be nearly identical to the Tiffany's) in 1995 by Russell Sherwood (EKSC Eagle). This amplifier could well be made to operate for someone willing to invest some time and energy to do so. I have the calibration information/instructions. Spec's: 8 ohm load, both channels driven 280 watts/channel. Cosmetically quite nice. Interested buyers may inquire. I will consider reasonable offers.

Please put in the title “Not working, Needs repair” ... you shouldn’t hide this fact until the end of your description. Mr. Hinshelwood, I have modified the listing. I however take some issue with my description of this amplifier. I rated the condition as 2/10 and the reason why. No hidden facts.
Actually the 4-53,000 MFD capacitors alone are worth the entire cost as it is listed now, not counting the 32 output transistors.
I reserve the right to compose my listings as I care to. Be well. |
Are you meaning to say it doesn't work? That is exactly what I said. I am trying to convey that it can be made to operate if you have the ability. |
He is still alive Not John Iverson, but yes Russ Sherwood is. |
That's what the government wants you to believe. Iverson had more talent than Pass, D'agostino, and Curl combined. He was an enigma, a legend. I can't argue with anything that you stated about John Iverson. We were fairly close in that we spoke frequently right up until he apparently disappeared. He gave me some insights on what he was doing. An incredibly talented man who seemed limited only by his imagination. |
If Russel cannot get it running, what does that tell you ?? Nice boat anchor thou. I do not recall and deny ever mentioning anything regarding Russell Sherwood unable to repair this amplifier. I haven't seen Russell since July, 1995. Neither has this amplifier paid him a visit since then.
I would not be listing this amplifier if I didn't believe that it could be repaired by someone with the skillset and willingness to invest the time.
Kudos to Russell but he's got nothing to do with this. |
At least state clearly that it does work. At the price you are selling you can get a working 7a. Clearly, it does not work. My listing is for a 7b...John Iverson did not change the exterior when he modified the 7a to a 7b. I hope that this helps you. |
