This is an 2006 ASR Emitter integrated amplifier, which was and is one of the very best amplifiers available in the world at any price. (See many absolutely rave reviews, from such heavyweights as Michael Fremer and Harry Pearson.)
This one is in superb condition except for a dent in the power supply clamp, which does not affect integrity. At some point it took a blow which bent the plastic, but, again, connection is tight and it is a complete non-issue. It still locks normally.
I have owned this amplifier for about 18 months. I have owned a total of four Emitters in my life; I keep coming back to them as in my experience there is nothing better (at least under $30,000 or so) for most dynamic speakers and electrostats.
The only reason I am selling now is because I have gone back to a horn system, running on just a few watts. Such an amp is complete overkill. Also, I'm now using active crossover which means an integrated is not appropriate.
I have the factory boxes plus excellent outer boxes supplied by TMR Audio, from which I purchased the amp. This packaging makes ground shipping entirely doable.
Regarding the year, I can tell you that this one sounds as good as any Emitter I have heard. As to the fact that this is the base model without battery, obviously this is not an objective take, but in my opinion you get 95% of the Emitter sound with the base model. In fact, the common opinion is that the Emiter I sounds slightly better than the II, and I agree (there are fewer paralleled output devices).
There has never been an issue of any kind with this amplifier. It works perfectly and flawlessly. It is even completely silent on my 110 DB/W horn system! In addition, you will find the factory extremely supportive if you ever have any question or issue.
The price reflects the age and the current state of the market. I personally think it is a phenomenal value in this price range.
I will not deal with anyone with no feedback without a prior conversation. I will not respond to questions about basic information (specs) that can be found easily on the Internet.
I have to charge 3% PayPal fee as well if it is used.
