This is for a new pair of Charney Audio Lumaca speakers in Maple.
The Concerto Lucama is our highest-performing, reference level loudspeaker.
It’s a 145 inch long Tractrix horn speaker all made from wood that is totally cylindrical. After 2 years of drawings and thousands of tool paths, it is machined with no flat spots anywhere in the horn. It produces a very wide dynamic range, and a natural and well-balanced stage, with flat extension down to 18 Hz, and up to 22 kHz. At a measured output of 107 dB @ 1W/1M, a low-powered tube amp will give superb results, from a whisper to a rock concert. Just like live music!
