Very fine turntable. I am the original owner. It has no scratches or damage anywhere. I have maintained it myself over these many years that I have owned it, lubricating the bearing and replacing the belt every few years. This is a solid turntable. It has been completely trouble free for me and sounds great. I will pack it in the original box. I finally upgraded after these many years. The Sota turntable is a fantastic piece and is still supported by the factory. It can easily be updated to the latest version.
This turntable does not come with a tonearm or cartridge but does include a composite armboard. The armboard has a 30mm hole located 214mm from the spindle. Includes the Sota record clamp and hinges, but not the dust cover. This photo of the iPhone app is not laboratory grade by any means but it gives an idea how well this turntable will sound. Speed control is what a turntable does. The highs are stable and sound good. It performs well above many other turntables. There is some drift as the turntable warms up since this is a DC motor but the speed drift, as I recall is in the 0.05% range- very small. And don't forget Sota's legendary isolation and great, solid bass. It's not much money for a lot of sound.

What is that plastic insert? I’m try to mount a Schroeder cub tonearm to it. Hi,
Do you mean the armboard on the right in the back? It is composite with an aluminum base. It is a premium armboard.
It has a 30mm hole drilled through that sits 214mm on centers from the spindle.

drilled for REGA ? If someone could machine an eccentric bushing for you it would work for a Rega. A 30mm OD bushing with a 23mm hole set to on side. The the center of the 23mm hole could be positioned for 220mm center to spindle distance. Spindle distance can have a couple of mm tolerance because the stylus has room to be positioned on the arm relative to the record groove through the tonearm adjustments. |
Is the included armboard for a Rega? Thanks. Hi
I can tell you that this arm board has a 30mm hole with a center distance of 214mm from the spindle.
