Introducing the first pure silver core cable by Allnic - the ZL-8000s!  Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how weighty these cables are compared to its older brother of copper origin.  At 2 mm thicker diameter, they certainly are denser -- attributed to the lower gauge wire used in the construction.  When asked, this was intentional for better bass presentation, and Kang Su is always accurate in his assessment.  I imagine there was significant research in designing these cables.  The ZL-8000s aesthetics are based on the beloved Allnic ZL-5000 power cable and, when set side by side, present as identical twins with only the most subtle of differences.  Few manufacturers demonstrate this level of sophistication in design and adeptly implemented using quality materials.

My first immediate impression of the ZL-8000s is clarity.  Like a newly prescribed pair of glasses, I hear detail that has not been previously realized.  There exists a prominent high-frequency airy extension and, over time, an improved inner layering, overall depth, and separation in the soundstage giving a more distinct positioning of musical instruments--the sum of which is improved overall holography.  Initially, strengths of the ZL-5000 were noted and missed; however, during this extensive breaking in process, these differences became muted, and the ZL8000s excelled, particularly in dynamics across the frequency spectrum regardless of volume.  This is a noted distinction.  The dynamics of the ZL5000 softens at low volume.  But so did any cable I auditioned or owned before today.  The quality of expansive richness and warmth, or bloom, is where the ZL5000 shines and for me historically never existed in any silver cable.  This, among a few other reasons, is why I favored copper cables throughout my system.  Such bloom, to me, evokes emotion.  The ZL8000s does present a better overall focus, and realism while maintaining an emotional connection with the music.  Again it circles back to clarity.

Tube amplifier owners hands down prefer ZL-8000 Silver while solid-state amplifier owners tend to (but not universally) prefer the ZL-5000 copper sibling.

Standard length: 3m.  Spade or banana termination.  Please contact us for custom length pricing ($400/0.5m).  Biwire - add $500.  No discount on shorter than 3M lengths by factory policy.  We recommend Bi-wire or Tri-wire over jumpers for a significant increase in performance.  Anticipate a two week lead time and possible extended delay due to COVID19.  Trades considered.  Email about bulk cable discounts.  30-day return policy on standard length cable only.  We ship worldwide with some limitations.

We currently have a supply of ZL cables to demo including these in 3M banana terminated BIWIRE.  As demo can be used as single-ended or biwire.  Email or call to set up an audition.  Special pricing on current ZL cables: Demo, trade, and overstock.

Barrier-free conductors

Traditional soldered or clamped connections between terminations and conductor create two resistant barriers (solder has much greater resistance than copper or silver). Our direct, high temperature melt welding (1000o C), without solder, removes two obstacles in the signal path by melting terminations and wire conductors into a single, seamless material.

Mu-metal shielding for true protection from EMI

While all other audio cable manufacturers use copper and/or silver shields for signal cables, Allnic uses ‘Mu-metal’ as braided shield for its interconnect and digital cables (RCA & XLR) – a world-premiere in the audio industry.

Traditional copper and/or silver mesh shields provide effective protection against electrically generated noise, but they are ineffective against magnetically induced noise. This is because magnetically generated interference freely penetrates both copper and silver. Only Mu-metal (a nickel alloy material) can protect the audio signal from both electronically and magnetically induced noise. Test data show that Mu-metal shielding reduces electromagnetic noise to less than 1/30th of what braided copper shield allows, down -30dB in comparison.

No more loosened binding posts

With our patented double-bladed speaker terminations, there is no need to go behind your loud speakers every month to re-tighten binding posts. Our unique double-bladed spade terminations minimize contact resistance and will not loosen, even when subjected to severe speaker vibration: no need to re-tighten binding posts for years.
