Oracle Audio Technologies Paris PH100 Phono Preamplifier Phono Stage Black

A beautiful PH100 phono preamp from Oracle.

This unit was just sent to Oracle for a thorough testing and some very nice upgrades, especially in the internal wiring. It sounds sweet, powerful, and very accurate, with scale and rhythm, and in terms of background -- dead quiet. I am sorry to see this go but financial issues require.

Solid state.  Ultimate clarity of sound, with purity and beauty.  And a bonus that is not usually found at this kind of price:  excellent PACE and rhythm.

A friend of mine has the Al Stewart album with "Year of the Cat" -- which begins with piano. Using his tube phono pre, the piano sounded thick and warm, but only with this Oracle did the keys sound like I used to hear over the radio in the 70s -- very clean, bright, and with an interesting depth.

MM and MC.  Modern, art-inspired design. Power cord and owners manual included. Used with a few minor marks.

Can accommodate any moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge.  

Variable MC input impedance settings and variable gain using different jumper configurations. Jumpers are located in a window on the bottom panel of the unit (see photo).

Unit comes set up for a MC cartridge at 62dB of gain and cartridge loading of 100 ohms. Changing to other settings is easy.

With its low gloss satin finish the PH100 carries the distinctive design of the Paris series as it uses the same chassis as its counterpart, the PH200. The Paris PH100 also uses the same analog modules and RIAA circuitry as the PH200 but distinguishes itself by using an internal power supply unit. 

Enormous care went into the power supply circuit as it is in big part responsible for the PH100’s performance and musicality.
