The REL T-7 is a one owner trade-in. This subwoofer works fantastic in both home theater and two channel stereo. I have it hooked up here with the Magnestands and VAC Sigma 160 and this system rocks! It has some miner scratches that are barely noticeable. I have to look carefully to find them. The speaker cover is slightly faded as well. Shipping is free in the cont. US. Everything including except original shipping box. Don't worry, it will be well packed.

Balance Point
THE PERFECT BLENDT/7i is, without reservation, one of the most-balanced RELs of all time. In order to achieve perfect balance, a sub must weigh speed against heft, while ensuring true extension-depth-and do so in a physically harmonious package. T/7i manages to make it all seem easy. Quick and delicate for a perfect blend, it can pound out exceptionally deep, tuneful bass that belies its size and plays louder than most will ever require.
Reimagined, Then Reengineered
When we upgraded our drivers, we were forced to redesign outward. The lovely cabinets grew over its predecessor due to thicker cabinet walls and improved bracing. Why? Because the additional speed and impact of the new drivers requires greater control or the benefits can be lost before they get to the listener.
Outsized Performance
INNOVATIVE ALLOY/FIBRE BASS ENGINESThe new composite alloy/fibre engine in T/7i blends precisely the correct dimension of stiffening alloy with a fibre material chosen for its sonic neutrality and light weight. The combination is brilliant; exceeding the performance of competitors’ drivers that are many times more expensive. The forward-firing 8” active couples with a larger 10” down-firing passive, again with carefully chosen balances of alloy to fibre and the result is seamless, effortlessly deep bass that blends perfectly with the main speakers.
Brains and Brawn
THE POWER BEHIND RELIf our driver designers deliver the structure of REL’s sound, the electronics are the brains and the power behind our success. Serie T/i uses the same Class A/B power amplifier sections with large, high current power supplies, precision-wound toroidal transformers and an amazing reliability record that has powered almost 100,000 RELs. Our proprietary filter designs are responsible for rave reviews for REL’s unique ability to blend seamlessly while layering on all the harmonic structure missing from conventional systems. Standby Mode switch not included on 110V units.
Zero Compression Wireless
INTRODUCING ARROW™Arrow™ is REL’s latest generation of zero compression wireless. Super-fast delivery of both High Level Bass and .1/ LFE ensures the rich, natural warmth that only RELs can deliver. With a throw distance of some 45’(13.7M) Arrow permits flexible placement without sacrificing sound quality.

John Hunter said it all. Well defined bass, easy to setup and moved the total sound of the system to a higher level. Those that say a sub is not needed does know what they are missing.
T 07/29/2020 TC Exceeds ExpectationsI've had the REL T/7i for a little over two weeks now. Run-in was easy, but took a bit longer than instructions indicated, but not much. (I had no option for going out to dinner...) Set-up and fine-tuning were actually pretty easy in terms of getting a very listenable sound. The REL instructional videos were very helpful, and I have experience with "live-sound" and other pro sound work and am generally familiar with crossovers. I'm still playing around with fine-tuning, just for fun. I bought the REL with the idea that I would probably need it when/if I got new (stand-mount?) speakers to replace my 30-year-old Vandersteen 2Ci/s, but I'm so impressed by the ability of the REL to "liberate" the mid/upper dynamics and detail, as well as adding bottom heft, clarity and low-end harmonics, that I'm wondering whether i'm really in need of new main speakers - it's that much of a transformation. The low-end additions were expected, although in this case fairly subtle, but the improvement to the upper registers is really remarkable. A great improvement!

A 07/22/2020 Andrea Another excellence in the first two octavesI own four other REL subwoofers, and I might be partial. Fit and finish is outstanding. Integration with existing main speakers easy. Bass is modulated and tuneful: you recognize each chord and note played by double bass, contrabassoon and contrabass tuba. That is more than enough.
D 07/09/2020 Del H. Seamless IntegrationI have owned three various models of RELs with different systems over the years and so had no doubt of going with REL for my latest system that I downsized to which includes the B&W 805 stand mounted speakers. The System is only used for 2-channel stereo music and no HT. The was question was which size T/i model to best go with my new home’s floor plan. I have an open floor plan that is about 30’ x 30’ with high ceilings and hardwood floors and wasn’t sure whether to go with the T/7i or T/9i.
I decided to try the T/7i first with the thought I could exchange to the T/9i if it did not work out. I was mainly concerned it would not generate enough low level bass to cover my area and I am only able to use a single sub (wife’s orders) in my setup. Fortunately, the T7/I was more than enough and blended in seamlessly with my 805s. They not only filled in the low level bass I was missing, but blended in nicely with the midrange and smoothed out the high ( especially stringed instruments such as violins). I know the preference is for dual subs, but I think in my case a single sub is proving to be sufficient.
In listening to John Hunter’s webinar yesterday (7/8), it also helped confirm that the T/7i was the way to go over the T/9i so as not to overwhelm my smaller monitors.
Also, I upgraded my power cable (Audience Forte - 10 gauge) and SpeakON speaker cable (Schmitt Custom - 12 gauge). I noticed a slight increase in volume so had to turn the gain down a couple of clicks but hard to say how much of a substantial difference it makes. Just reassuring to know I have better quality wires going in if nothing else and at a very affordable price point (around $240 for both).
The only minor criticism I would have on the REL is the branding on the feet. I think it is a little overdone to have it on both sides of all the feet. Looks a little tacky for such a high end looking sub. Would prefer to leave these off and maybe make the REL logo on top of the sub more substantial.
Also, final note is REL’s customer service is terrific in answering questions in a friendly manner and notifying me of the credit due back since the subs went on sale soon after I had purchased mine at full price. Also, love the fact you can exchange or return within 60-days at no cost in restocking fees or return shipping. I think only a very small handful of places will do this.

FULL SPECS USER MANUAL BROCHURE REVIEWS + AWARDSWhat I really enjoy about these smaller, less expensive subs, is that there has been no compromise in the T7is in terms of what makes the big RELs truly great. The cabinets, though slightly simpler in design, are still executed to the same level of fit and finish as the top models. Ditto for the drivers and electronics. Hence, the T7i is more than worthy of one of our Exceptional Value Awards for 2018. Read More +
JEFF DORGAY, TONEAUDIO"Even without the high-level connection in use (wilfully ignoring REL's manual that declares 'you will almost always' hookup this way), this is a seriously accomplished device. And even if you choose, as an LFE purist, not to run a simultaneous input for movie playback, you should certainly experiment with the high-level connection for conventional two-channel audio. I found it improved the sub's integration with my L/R speakers and sense of speed." Read More +
ED SELLEY, HOME CINEMA CHOICE"As REL woofer-in-chief John Hunter described to me, the new T lineup benefitted from the development of the Series S line. The Series S reminded him not only of the importance of both a lighter/stiffer driver but of the issue of self-quieting, which Hunter describes as design and engineering 'intended to produce a cone/driver that starts and stops well and immediately quiets down and does not continue ringing.' Basically, no overshoot." Read More +
