I have always been a huge fan of the Kef LS50s, it’s been awarded by every major magazine and reviewer in the world and has become a true legend in the high-end audio world. 

Winner of just about every major magazine and audio publications including Product of the years, Stereophile Class A and What HiFi Speaker Hall of Fame etc etc.

I have two pairs to sell – One pair of Black and Blue driver and One pair of Nocturnes – both in Brand new/Mint condition. 

These are my third and fourth pair of Kef LS50 wireless, I have gotten them for different locations and have continued to experiment with them. After several years and hundreds of thousands of dollars later in audio gear experiments, I found these to be my current reference streamer/Dac/Amp/Monitors. The Kef LS50 Wireless (Version I) is one of the best music systems that I’d ever heard between $10 to $25K when set up with upgraded power cables and Ethernet Cables (I’m using Wireworld Platinum 7s and Pangea AC14 XLs for power, all Wireworld Platinum 8 Ethernet cables and in between speakers as well).

To my experience, this is the equivalent of bi-amp-mono-block driven LS50’s with superb Dac and streaming capabilities. Each channel is bi-amped 230 watts per channel and housed separate dacs. The streamer front is so impressive, especially when using the Uptone Ether Regen with a 10mhz master clock. I have compared this to many setups costing up to $45,000 which I can’t say they beat these LS50 wireless. Below are a few setups that I have owned and compared to straight up LS50 Wireless – look at the price of the setup comparing to the LS50 Wireless ($2000).

I can honestly say that none of the above really “beats” the overall sound of an LS50 Wireless when used with good power chords and Ethernet cables. I found to get the very best out of the LS50 Wireless, you must treat them as very high-end system and not just a pair of Bluetooth speakers. Afterall, you wouldn’t connect your expensive mono blocks or state of the art streamer with stock power and ethernet cables – the same goes with the LS50 wireless. Power cable upgrade is very crucial for the LS50 Wireless, I usually use Wireworld Platinum 7’s but I found the inexpensive Pangea AC14 XLs equally affective. Also, the Ethernet feed is very important – using a Rock Space Wifi extender actually elevates the sound by a notch and connecting through an Uptone Ether regen is even better. Furthermore, I am clocking the Uptone ether regen with a Mutec Ref10 master clock also using wireworld platinum 8 bnc. This combo with the LS50 Wireless is my current reference sound. 

I can give you full support how to set up the LS50 Wireless properly. To avoid any wifi glitches, I recommend always connect the LS50 Wireless with Ethernet cable.
