Anthem PRE-1L

For Sale: One Anthem Pre-1L Tube Preamplifier in very good condition.   There are a few nicks and scratches on the Faceplate, and there is some Pantina around the Knobs from Finger Oil.  I would rate the condition of this Anthem Preamp as 7 out of 10.  This Anthem Pre-1L Preamplifier has good Soundstage with a laid back, Mellow Tone presentation that makes all forms of Music very listenable.  This Anthem Pre-1L Preamplifier is a great compliment to Solid State Amplification and will help tame that SS Amp that causes listener fatigue.  This Anthem Preamp is a four Tube design with a Tube output stage.  This is not a one or two Tube Hybrid Preamp design with a Solid State Output Stage like most other products around this price point.  This Anthem Pre-1L Preamp was built in Canada with high quality Components.  The Pre-1L uses four 6922 (6DJ8) Tubes and has a selectable Gain feature that allows you to configure the Gain setting to 8dB, 16dB or 24dB. I’ve tried the 8dB Gain setting, but I preferred the fuller sound of the 16dB Gain setting with both of my Power Amps. There are 4 RCA Line Inputs, 2 RCA Outputs, a Tape Loop and a Headphone Jack.  Another useful feature of the Pre 1L is the very low Output Impedance of 135 Ohms which allows the successful use of longer Cable runs between the Preamp and Power Amp.  This Anthem Pre-1L comes with four great sounding, lightly used Siemens 6922(6DJ8) Tubes.  Unfortunately, this Anthem Pre-1L does not offer remote control function.  I do not have the Original Factory Box.  However, I will pack the Preamp extremely well and ship the Preamp Insured.
