Peachtree
novaPre
It's a world-class DAC
The
novaPre is a high-end digital to analog converter (DAC). The USB input is
asynchronous, so your computer audio files will be decoupled from the timing
errors that often accompany them, and reclocked on their way to the heart of
the digital-to analog conversion process, the novaPre's built-in ESS Sabre DAC.
The
ESS Sabre 9023 DAC is recognized as being among the world's best, and the
novaPre's circuitry has been consciously designed around the needs and strengths
of this chip. Your digital files will be faithfully converted to a pristine
analog signal that holds true to the artist's original sonic intention. And
there won't be any reason to worry about contamination from outside electrical
anomalies. All digital inputs (1 USB, 1 optical, 2 coax) that have a path to
ground are galvanically isolated, so there's no means for electrical noise from
power supplies or processors to affect the signal path downstream.
It's a hybrid tube buffer
The
novaPre is prepared for today's compressed streaming music sources, with an
on-board tube buffer that helps to smooth the harsh waveforms that can be
present on lower-quality compression. It can be switched on or off from the
remote control, depending on your personal preference.
A headphone amp, too
Lastly,
the novaPre functions as an audiophile-quality headphone amp, for times when
you want to feed your favorite set of headphones. And, as above, the tube
buffer can be switched in or out to accommodate your source material, even when
your listening is private.
The
novaPre pairs beautifully with Peachtree's elegant power amplifier, the Peachtree
220.

About the Peachtree220
With a fine component like the Peachtree220 stereo power amplifier, fancy
words aren't really necessary. It's Peachtree. And it delivers 220 watts per
channel of pure, controlled power from an attractive, low profile package that
they're proud to put their highly-regarded name on. If you've spent any time
listening to Peachtree products at all, you'll know that we've said enough for
you to make a sound decision.
But hey, since you asked, we'll tell you more things you'll want to know.
Instantly available clean power is the spark that ignites your music, and the
'220 has plenty of it. You'll notice cleaner imaging and more extension on both
ends of the audio spectrum as your speakers have the power they need to
reproduce demanding frequencies and dynamic range.
The '220 takes both balanced XLR stereo inputs and unbalanced RCA stereo
inputs. Two sets of high-quality 5-way binding posts will host speaker cables
with banana plugs or spades, or just bare speaker wire.
This amplifier features a Class D design which delivers crisp treble and
floor-shaking bass. It runs cooler than many other amps. And if you run 4 ohm
speakers, the 220 will give you an even more impressive 400 watts per channel.
Product highlights:
- 220 watts per channel into 8
ohms; 400 watts per channel into 4 ohms - balanced XLR and unbalanced
RCA stereo inputs - switchable voltage for
international use - frequency response:
20Hz-20kHz + .5dB - detachable power
cord - 14-7/8"W x
4-15/16"H x 13-1/2"D - weight: 16.34 lbs.
