For your consideration: a pair of legendary studio / mastering monitors from 1979 England -- the famed B&W Matrix 801 series 1’s. They are in fantastic condition for their age, with minor scuffs and scrapes on the cabinets and head assemblies. One tweeter assembly is lifting slightly off the midrange driver but is stable and could be glued down if you want. The environmental control dials are missing on the back of one of the mids, but are still fully functional.  The most egregious uglies are noted in pictures, but more images can be sent upon request.

The mid and low range on these is arguably superior to the series 2 and 3, as the woofer is a sealed box design that doesn't fall prey to the whoosh and chuff of many ported woofers.

These are 8ohm, passive monitors that will take basically any amplification from 50 watts to "holy shit, turn that down." The brochure lists the max power input as "No Upper Limit."

These have been run at 250w per side, heavily class A biased, with excellent signal quality.  They sound incredible and will fill any medium or large-sized room with exquisite sound.  These are the speakers that defined high-end reference monitors in the late 70's through 90's.

If you would like to arrange for boxing and freight at your expense, you are welcome to do so.  For these speakers I have seen this cost roughly $600.

Questions for the seller
The wood cabinets look great! Are they solid hardwood, or veneer?
Yes they are in surprisingly good shape, though there are some blemishes at the bottom edges from repositioning. I believe they are wood veneer over engineered wood.
