I purchased this Marantz 300dc as new old stock in 1998 from a well known dealer on the net. It remains in perfect operating order with a perfect front faceplate! I have treated this and all my gear (see matching near perfect Marantz 3800 I listed today) with kid gloves. The amp’s meters are bright and fully functioning. It’s 150wpc rms at an incredibly low distortion rate. While more accurate sounding than the great Marantz receivers, it still allows with great speakers both incredible clarity and listenability. I was driving 4ohm PSB Synchrony One Towers and could hear every vibration of an acoustic guitar string, the sweetness of Amy Grant’s Cry Me a River, and the chest thumping thunder of Pink Floyd. This is a rare piece in ANY condition. This one is gorgeous! Try and find another perfectly clean face! The only tiny scratches are on the thin flat top of the plate that you’ve got to be within a foot or so to even notice. The black paint on the casing is a bit aged, but a little polish and it will shine. It’s not a happy day to part with this after searching for a mint one since 1988, finding it 10 yrs later, and letting it be the center of a system I’ve loved so much. Some of you know exactly what i mean. My health has deteriorated, my sons who i hoped dearly would keep it all for the rest of their lives prefer small setups, and my wife of 45 yrs has no idea how to sell it. It’s not going cheap. It’s a beautiful metered silver faced giant that’s going up in value every single year and rarely in this condition. I’ll pay the paypal fees which shouldnt be a buyer responsibilty anyway in my mind. Shipping will be the exact charges to your residence, no bogus handling fees etc. I know items like this can be risky to buyer and seller. I’ve had one guy commit to buying the Synchrony Ones at $2100 plus shipping which i agreed to, only to say two days later his wife was pissed because he hadn’t checked with her...The guy was a physician! What’s 2400 for the best speakers he may ever own??? Also, I’ve been warned that buyers have been at times exchanging parts and the demanding to return the item and the money. If you’re interested, you can check on me at Ebay. Handle is: blueonyx.ots (old Moody Blues line from 1969) and you can find it easily by searching for the PSB SYNCHRONY ONE Speakers i have listed. I’ve been on Ebay 20 yrs and NOT ONCE has anyone ever accused me of not representing things properly or being dishonest in any way, although if you’ve been a long term Ebayer, you know that there’s plenty of cheats and people who’d gripe if you wish them a good day! Check my feedback profile and you’ll see what honesty looks like. It’s possible I’d trade for new powered Navia’s in the ebony striped finish that I can give one of my sons. Can’t think of anything else he might want. Gonna start the amp at $2200. If interested in the amp and matching preamp, I can negotiate a pkg deal. Buy them both and I’ll consider throwing in a Marantz 2110 Tuner (with clean faceplate of course) for free
