My beautiful PTP solid 12/9 is for sale.  I'd prefer to sell it as a package for local pickup with the two tonearms and cartridges that are currently installed, as I don't want to disassemble and pack up everything for reasons that will be obvious if you read further.  I do, however, have boxes for the table, the two arms and the cartridges, so could ship if you are willing to split the shipping costs.  As it sits, it has Artemis 9" (an earlier version of the Schroeder CB built under license in the US) and SME 312S arms installed.  The Artemis has a ZYX Atmos (an earlier version of the 4D), while the SME has a Miyajima Spirit Mono.  It is a wonderful device; there are several reasons for the sale in rough order of importance:  1)  My L-shaped room has a horrible bass "bump" in the 60 Hz region.  I have quite a bit of adsorption in place, but some sort of EQ is needed.  I had a RIVES PARC for a while, but as the system improved, it was obvious that the PARC decreased transparency.  I could digitize the signal and do digital EQ (as I do with my digital source), but that kind of defeats the point of having a higher end analog rig.  2)  My digital source is greatly improved relative to where it was a couple of years ago.  3)  I am 68 years old and am getting lazier and lazier as time goes on - along with reduced hearing capability.  I live in the St. Paul, MN area.  As noted, I would prefer local pickup or can meet you anywhere within 150 miles or so to do an exchange.  The 7 rating is primarily for the Artemis arm - quite functional, but the wiring is somewhat frayed at the headshell and the bearings could stand some adjustment, I think.  The cueing on the SME is stiff do to lack of use; I am told this is not uncommon. The ZYX is older, but in good condition.  Other than the above, everything would be at least an 8, probably a 9, but I don't want anyone to be disappointed.  I have original boxes for the arms, cartridges, and turntable.  This ad is already pretty long, so please contact me if you'd like additional details or have certain pieces you do/don't want.

Questions for the seller
which is the better arm ?
Not an easy question to answer. The SME is newer and pristine. If the Artemis was tuned up by Frank et al.it would be a close contest IMO. But just IMO
I’ve never wished that I lived in Minnesota before now. Someone that does is going to be very happy. Such a great table and arms!
If you are seriously interested, I can pack for shipment if we can split shipping costs.
