Holborne RPA-3 MKII tube Phono preamp. Swiss high end! $7,000 MSRP

The RPA-3 MKII is a rare commodity. It almost never pops up in the used market but we managed to get our hands on one so one lucky person is going to relish the sounds of vinyl with this gorgeous sounding phono preamp. The RPA-3 MKII is a tube based phono preamp with 2x PC86 and 2x PCC88 tubes. Its a very simple plug and play phono with a fixed gain of +60dB for MC and +40dB for MM cartridges. Load is 47kOhm with additional pairs of optional 100 ohm to 1 kOhm chinch connector that you could just plug into its pair of load input on the rear panel. The RPA-3 MKII is a dark sounding, almost dead quiet phono preamp. It paired beautifully with our Michell Engineering 25th Anniversary Gyrodec with Benz Micro LP S MC cartridge. Vocal records had a holographic presentation that stood out in the well layered soundstage. It may not be as "forceful" as the ASR Basis Exclusive Phono but it has its own delicate, sweet presentation.

Cosmetically, the unit is in near mint condition. Manual and 100/400/800 & 1K ohm chinch connectors are included. We have the original box and will securely pack it for safe shipping.
