Designed by the late great Tim de Paravicini, the Musical Fidelity A1 integrated is one smooth sounding amplifier that runs in Class A mode. This particular unit is the original 1980s version and is in very good condition with some minimal lettering wear. Phono input is a bonus. Wired for 120V US use. I absolutely loved my time with this amp, especially with jazz and classical music where it really captured the mood of Chet Baker or the beauty of Corelli, In my mid-sized listening room there was plenty of power with my 88dB efficient KEF speakers and the bass depth, considering this has only 25WPC, was surprising.
Note that is a Class A amp and it runs hot. Also the only speaker outputs are bananas. I will include a simple 6 foot pair of banana -> pin speakers cables just in case you are a spade user.
Volume control is NOT noisy nor is the selector switch. Nonetheless the volume pot was internally cleaned along with the banana output and the RCA input jacks. Due to age, sold as-is but with a seven day return policy if you are not satisfied.
