The original JM Lab Ligne Utopia speakers (1999) in the original crates retailed for $30,000. I bought them from Sound by Singer as used but perfect condition (floor models?).  Currently in storage.

Nothing will outperform them these speakers at this price point.  I bought them to fill a the front part of an open loft (approx. 2,000 sf) with room filling sound even when set at a low volume.  Other speakers were swallowed up by the space but these provided a really gentle wonderful and real sound at low volumes.  I can only imagine them in a listening room.  Sold that apartment so no longer have room for these.  They are in "very good" condition because of something that doesn’t seem to impact performance (the center circle of one woofer was pushed in by little fingers and the other while intact was collapsed a bit and I’ve been told is an easy fix) but they’re otherwise in excellent condition. They have never been repaired and none of the parts have ever been replaced. Any blemishes are barely noticeable. As you can see in the photographs, they are very clean cosmetically and they perform perfectly. The speakers have the front wood covers.

Description (sourced from another listing)
Three-way floorstanding, reflex-loaded loudspeaker.
Drive-units: one 1¼" inverted-dome titanium tweeter, two 6½" sandwich-technology midrange drivers, one 12" (or 13") sandwich bass-reflex woofer.
Crossover points: 400Hz and 2.5kHz at 18dB/octave.
Frequency response: 26Hz-25kHz -3dB. Impedance: 4 ohms nominal, 3.3 ohms minimum. Sensitivity: 94.5dB.

Priced "as is" and much more aggressively than other listings.  Happy to do an inspection if you’re local.

Shipping Dimensions: 35.0" × 36.0" × 68.0" (250.0 lbs. perhaps more with crates)

Audiogon’s Blue Book seems to have gotten confused by how Focal named future products and these speakers were listed previously but at some point got overwritten by [headphones]?  I’ve requested that they find/restore the old data if possible.  You can find these same speakers listed for much more on Ebay fyi if you’re looking for a comparable.

Questions for the seller
Hello, are you Interested in a pair of JMLab Mezzo Utopia, and of course I pay the difference!
Unfortunately not - I don't have a system for those sorts of speakers anymore
Hi! Are these still available? Can you quote for freight shipping to 55126? Thanks
I'm not in a position right now to arrange shipping but happy to help you with someone you're comfortable with. Perhaps this will change. I can deal with local pickup much more readily. Also full price offers will be given priority.
Do you have helpers who can help you to put the speakers in the crates without causing further damage? Also if I send a cargo van to pick them up, would you provide help for loading the crates into the van? My estimate is, along with you and the driver, you need 2 more people to load the crates because the van doesn’t have a lift gate. Please, get back to me. Thank you
Sorry I've been out of touch - I've had some things come up lately. They are already crated. They'd have to lie on their backs because with the crates they're close to 6 feet tall. You're probably right - a total of 3-4 people. I'd be happy to help and if you could then we'd need 1 or 2 people. I could ask a friend depending on the date. Perhaps you could too. Tilting them back off of a dolly onto a cargo van wouldn't be that difficult but to be safe... Best
What the shipping charge it will be to Ca.90007 Thank you/Michael
I haven't identified a shipper yet but will do my best to get this going as soon as I can. Thank you for your interest
Hi. Could you calculate a shipping cost to Cleveland? Thank you. Michael
Do you have a preferred service. I'll see if Audiogon has a recommendation (I think I saw them say they had relationships). This might take me some time to figure out. I've got a lot going on right now
I'm local Can I possibly inspect them?
I'd be delighted, however, I don't have a car to get to the storage unit in NJ (very close to NYC) and to align our interests and time, I'd ask for a ride or for you to cover my costs (but not my time) to meet you out there. Perhaps also if you could indicate (as you perhaps have) your offer with assumptions (e.g., you made an offer of $9,999 assuming the description I made was accurate so absent big surprises, I'd know that you would offer that amount...)
Which model is this, a mezzo gande utopia or something else?
They are the original JM Labs Ligne Utopia [filtered] [filtered] Review of the big brother of this speaker [filtered]
Is it possible to ship using non freight rather air for these beasts ? If yes I’m interested
I'm happy to ship whatever way you'd like if you have a preferred carrier...
