Mark Levinson No. 532H - Serviced

For sale is a Mark Levinson 532H power amplifier. This model received a Stereophile Class A rating in 2011, with the original reviewer commenting, "Its superior bass slam, soundstaging, treble detailing, midrange pitch definition, and jaw-dropping dynamic range equaled or exceeded that of my other ML amplifiers." For me as well, I found this amplifier to bring out the best in bass, detail and soundstage in the speakers I paired it with, such as Thiel 3.7. The treble sound is very clean, with zero distortion on even the trickiest high female vocals. The amplifier is also definitely capable of significant slam on sudden transients. I personally consider the 532H a true high end amplifier that still manages to be practical in terms of cost, size and weight (being under 80 pounds)

I have rated the condition as 7/10. On the front, top and sides, there are no blemishes or scratches that I can make out. The one issue is a slightly bent carry handle from earlier in the unit's life. The handle itself is still solid and usable.

This unit was recently serviced by an authorized Levinson service center, George Meyer AV of Los Angeles. Most of the output stage has been rebuilt, with new capacitors and transistors, and the unit was thoroughly tested. It should hopefully be providing great sound for many additional years now!
